Overview

Nelo 54 Stable, Comfortable, and Surprisingly Quick. All at Once.

The Nelo 54 sits in great company alongside the 52, sharing the same core philosophy of making surfski genuinely accessible without cutting corners on performance. Fast, comfortable, and capable in all conditions — flat water or downwind, the 54 is ready for it.

Where the 54 really makes its mark is in the details. The more comfortable seat is designed with longer sessions in mind — the kind where you're out for hours rather than minutes, and arriving back at the beach feeling good rather than wrecked. It's a small thing on paper, and a very big thing in practice.

The integrated Venturi system takes care of cockpit drainage automatically and efficiently as you paddle — no fiddling, no foot operation, no thinking about it at all. The water simply goes away and you get on with paddling. Exactly as it should be.

Optimised dimensions give the 54 excellent maneuverability on the water — direction changes are quick and intuitive, and surfing waves feels natural rather than forced. And despite being a stable, approachable ski, the 54 doesn't carry unnecessary weight; greater structural rigidity means the hull is stiff, strong, and light all at once. A combination that's harder to achieve than it sounds.

At 540 cm (17'9") — the same length as a racing K1 — the 54 sits happily on a standard car roof rack, making transport straightforward as regulations continue to tighten.
