Overview
Nordic Kayaks K1 41 All the Speed. A Little More Breathing Room.
There's no shame in wanting a touch more stability in your racing kayak. In fact, it's just good sense — because a boat you can paddle confidently and consistently will always be faster than one you're spending half your energy wrestling with. The K1 41 understands this completely, and delivers exactly that: proper racing performance with just enough extra reassurance to let you get on with the job.
Part of the NK K1 family alongside the 40, 43, and 45 cm models, all four draw their hull shapes directly from our surfski heritage, built around optimal hydrodynamics and constructed with our signature lightweight carbon fibre. The result is a range of kayaks that are fast, efficient, and genuinely easy to drive — and the K1 41 is no exception.
At 41 cm (16.1") wide, the K1 41 is a particularly well-suited match for paddlers between 60 and 80 kg (132 to 176 lbs) — a weight range where the hull really comes into its own, offering a composed and confidence-inspiring ride without giving anything away on speed. If you're in that bracket and looking for a racing kayak that rewards commitment rather than demanding constant balance corrections, this is a very good place to start.
Steering is your choice: pedals or T-bar, both fitting neatly into the same adjustment system, paired with the adjustable foot strap for a stable, locked-in feel and quick, reliable rudder response.
